Our MD and Founder, Geoff Oliver, began his career many moons ago at BBC Radio - qualifying from the intensive residential training course at Evesham before being deployed as an engineer to BBC Broadcasting House and a post in live broadcasting covering Radio 1, 2, 3 and 4.

Fast forward to the 1990's, and following several years at the BBC and stints in independent radio, Geoff founded The Sound Company studios on the principle of providing exceptional customer service, motivated by his own experiences of running a Radio and TV Production company.

Over the years the Sound Company studios has grown to include 7 sound studios within our spacious building at 23 Gosfield Street, each with its own distinct character, and all of them capable of the highest standards of technical excellence.

We love radio, and recording, editing, mixing and mastering for radio has been part of the fabric of the Sound Company since our inception in 1993.

Audio and data tie-lines run throughout the building providing connections to ISDN, Source Connect and TBU telephone patches, as well as the ability to link our studios for socially-distanced multi-voice interviews.
